When the event passes the validation check and you are satisfied that there are no mistakes in it, submit it for rating. This is when you pay the rating fee for your event. The ratings fees are currently:
25 cents per ratable game for events submitted online ($3 minimum).
40 cents per ratable game for events sent to the US Chess office on diskette or by email ($5 minimum).
60 cents per ratable game for events sent to the US Chess on paper ($8 minimum).
You also pay any FIDE rating fees, Grand Prix fees, crosstable fees, two-month membership dues (and tournament membership fees where applicab le) with the ratings fee.
You have two (possibly three) ways to pay the ratings fee.
- If you pay online via credit card it will be rated in the next hourly cycle. (Normally we rate events every hour from 7AM to 11PM Central Time.)
- If you send a check to the US Chess the event will be rated when the check has been received.
- If and when deposit accounts are made available, if your affiliate has sufficient funds in its deposit account and you are authorized to utilize those funds, you may pay the ratings fee and other fees and dues from the deposit account and the event will be rated in the next hourly cycle.
