A 1099-NEC is used for staff compensation exceeding $600 in a calendar year. Which 1099 form is used for prizes awarded that exceed $600 in a calendar year? Are there fillable pdf versions of these document templates available from the IRS website(I can’t find them)?
I would assume a 1099-MISC but I’m not a tax professional and so take that information with a bag of salt.
