Addition to US Open workshop schedule - Leago system first look

The workshop schedule for the US Open has been updated to include a date/time for the demo of the Leago system that has been in development and testing.

It will be on Thurday, July 31st at 10 AM in Salon G. The focus will be on the new interface for tournament directors to upload/edit/submit their events but as time permits we may look at other features that are ready for viewing.

The plan is to record this session so that it can be made available to those who cannot get to the US Open.

There was a short presentation during tonight’s TDCC workshop on the Leago system, with some screen shots, primarily of the TD interface. These are by no means final versions of those pages, the demo at the US Open on 7/31 will reflect another three weeks of changes, feature rollouts, data loading, bug fixes, etc, so I expect things to look considerably more polished by then. (And that presentation will largely be prepared by US Chess’s communications team, which will also improve its appearance, structure and smoothness.)

The video of the TDCC workshop will be posted in the next few days.

the video will be posted here?

I don’t know where they’re posting them, I can ask tomorrow.

Didn’t have to ask found it online.

It appears most of your presentation about the Leago system at the TDCC meeting didn’t make it on the recording. It looks like the recording was maybe paused and forgotten about until nearly the end of it.

Is the July 31 demo from the US Open you mention available online somewhere?

About all I did at the TDCC workshop was walk through about 13 screen shots.

My understanding that Bryan Tillis is reworking the presentation he gave at the US Open to update it, because much of what he said was ‘coming soon’ is now working on the alpha system.

I also know he’s working on demo videos to be released when the beta system goes live. A key part of these videos will be to show where information was on the old system (both TD/A and MSA) and where the equivalent information is on the Leago server.

I suspect the screen shots are also somewhat out of date at this point, but I can ask Bryan if there’s a good place to post those.
