Be sure to send both IDs to the membership department. There are a lot of IDs that should be flagged as a dup, but they won’t be if nobody reports them.
And although it isn’t directly related to this issue, we have over 15,000 current member records with no mailing address.
There is also some number of youth players where the parents did not want to give that PI and the address is bogus (perhaps with only the state being correct)
I doubt that’s exclusively a problem with youth members.
There are over 3000 adult members who would be eligible for voting membership for whom we have no street address information and bogus street information may be a problem as well.
Ha! Yeah I once had a new adult player who said he did not want to give his address to USCF and I said fine, just fill in the address lines and make the state NC. He looked at me strangely and then figured out what I was saying. I doubt he lived at 100 Main Street or whatever he wrote.
