New Member: Active, but no Expiration Date

Someone just signed up for one of my upcoming tourneys. The MUIR site shows he has an Active USCF number. However, no expiration date is listed. He just joined today. Should I worry that no expiration date is showing?

Yes you should. The lack of an expiration date means the person got as far as generating an ID but did not get far enough to pay for a membership. The player is a new, inactive, prospective member and NOT an active member.

PS this was true long before the major migration in the past two months. It happened when they changed the membership process 2(?) years ago.

The parent responded: “We completed the membership before registering. We paid 24 dollars and received a receipt. Do we need to contact the USCF?”

I told them, ‘Yes.” Is there a direct email contact to speed up the process for the parent?

I sent a message to the Membership Director, Chris Green.

The CIVI-CRM membership system went live in July of 2020.

FWIW, providing the ID makes it possible for someone to check to see what’s going on.

Here is the ID.

I did a manual sync using the link that’s on every TD’s member dashboard, looks like it’s OK now.
