OTB Quick and Blitz floors

Why does this player, US Chess, have a 2200 OTB quick and blitz floor (if you look at his tournament history you will see the 2200 floor is being applied to his OTB quick and blitz ratings)? I thought the OTB quick and blitz floors only went up to 2100.

It looks like it might be because he recently got the Life Master title and the program incorrectly applied that 2200 floor to his OTB quick and blitz ratings.

Good question, I doubt it can be answered before next week, though.

We didn’t used to show floors other than regular OTB, so this could be a legacy issue.

I saw my blitz floor (100 below my regular floor) in legacy.

It’s clear your Quick floor exists, but it’s not displayed in the same way.

My club had deduced the existence of Quick floors, but never could see them displayed in any fashion pre-MUIR.

Any update on this issue?

Also, another issue related to floors. This player, US Chess, is listed with a regular floor of 107 and a quick and blitz floor of 100, which are all incorrect.

This player doesn’t appear to have earned a 1200 floor yet. The OTB quick and blitz ratings haven’t changed in over a decade, and we haven’t run a rerate back that far yet, so the floating floors wouldn’t be shown, as the legacy system didn’t show or store them. The lack of a longer rerate is probably affecting the floating floor issue on the regular OTB rating as well, since this player has only one event in the last two years. On MUIR the factors for computing floating floors are computed on a per-section basis during ratings passes (including rerates.)

Any update on the 2200 floor issue?

We are still analyzing it, this situation is more complicated than it appears.
