Trying to understand Event Summary Information

Hello,

I am looking at my first USCF rated event (http://www.uschess.org/msa/XtblMain.php?201602249532-15937344) and I am trying to decipher the ‘Stats’ info at the top of the Section.

Section Date(s) 2016-02-24
Processed Received: 2016-02-24 Entered: 2016-02-24 Rated: 2016-02-24
Stats 5 Rounds, 6 Players; K Factor: F Rating Sys: B Tnmt Type: R
Time Control: G/10;d0

The number of rounds and players is self explanatory but what does the ‘K Factor: F’ and ‘Rating Sys: B’ mean? I believe the Tnmt Type of R means round robin.

Thanks in advance,
Rick

In the old days, some tournaments were rated at half-K (meaning your rating would go up or down only half as fast as in a “normal” event (full-K)). Nowadays all events are full-K. F means full-K.

Rating System is either Regular, Quick, or Blitz. Yes, a tournament type of R means round robin.

Thanks for the reply Bill - much appreciated.
