where to go to print membership card out

where do you go to print membership card out?
thanks,
Lee

We do provide a temporary membership card with membership webstore orders, and TDs can print out temporary membership cards for membership batches they submit through TD/A. The office can also email a member a PDF of a temporary membership card.

None of these are intended to be permanent replacements for USCF-issued membership cards, so there is no place for a member to go to print out a replacement membership card.

As announced by Bill Hall in Vancouver, one of the programs initiated by our new marketing director is a switch to a plastic membership card (similar to a credit card.) There were some issues that slowed down the implementation of this, and we ran out of the old membership card form in August, but according to Phil Smith they should be caught up on sending out membership cards in the next few days. Replacement plastic membership cards can be requested from the USCF office. According to Pat Smith, there is a $5 replacement fee.

Members of a group membership plan do not receive membership cards from the USCF due to the highly discounted price of group memberships, but the administrator of the group plan can request a PDF of membership cards for the members in his group.

I’ve made a point of scanning the membership card, TD card, chess coach card, and putting the scanned image on the back of my chess business card.

Q? Does that mean that a paper membership card will still be sent to new members and/or current/renewals as part of the membership fee, and if a member wants a new plastic card they would have to pay an additional $5 if they want plastic?

I guess the word ‘replacement’ must have a different meaning to you than it does to me.

If a member loses his plastic membership card and wishes a replacement, there will be a $5 fee.

Similarly, if a member who was sent a paper card wishes a plastic card as a replacement for the paper one, there would also be a $5 fee.

But since other than life members, a member can renew at any time, it might be more cost effective to just extend the membership for another year or longer.
