During 2009, the Top 100 lists were usually updated around the 20th to 23rd of the previous month. Has this policy changed in 2010? I know that I’m not the only one waiting patiently, especially since April determines the US Junior and US Cadet invitations.
The office was having some problems getting the work lists but that was resolved yesterday, and I know Chuck was working on validating the April lists yesterday afternoon.
BTW, with regards to the original question, there isn’t a set schedule that I know of for posting either the rating supplement files or the Top 100 lists.
We prefer to wait a few days after each supplement cutoff (like tonight) to make sure there aren’t any problems with it before generating the rating supplement files. The Top 100 work lists take several days to validate, depending on how many new names pop up on it. (We validate the age and sex of any newcomers to the lists or if there have been changes since the last time that information was validated.)
How much staff time is required to produce the Top 100 lists each month? I assume that even if they take several days to validate, someone isn’t working exclusively on the lists for several days straight?
We don’t do Top 100 lists every month, just for even numbered months.
I don’t know how much time it takes, though if he has to contact parents or coaches to confirm information it may take several days just to get responses.
