Compare https://www.uschess.org/msa/MbrDtlMain.php?32666026 and US Chess - the non-member US Chess ID shows up in the former (MSA) but not the latter (MUIR).
It’s possible this is a more general MUIR sync issue, of course.

I’m not sure if this is a case of non-members not showing up or this specific member record not getting pushed to MUIR.
We’re seeing about a 4% failure rate on the pushes for new members, which is far too high to just be due to transient network issues, so there’s probably something failing on the MUIR end of things.
The push system that we were using before 2020 had a failure rate of under 1%.
The non-members question raises some complicated issues and is something that is being studied further. We spent a significant part of today’s staff meeting talking about it.
Non member - never member - id numbers has only been a source of frustration for us; if you could nuke it now once and for all that would be great. Just marking them as expired the month before would be fine.
Yeah, we’re looking at both a short term and long term solution to the problem. We currently have about 50,000 records in the membership system with no membership type or expiration date. And that’s not counting around 9000 records that have been flagged as a duplicate ID. (All told, those represent less than 5% of the records in the membership system, but I suspect we still have thousands of records that should be flagged as duplicate IDs.)
The long term solution probably involves revamping the membership system so it can’t create those erroneous non-member records (other types of non-member records are part of the design as they’re not records intended to be used for any ratings related purposes), a variety of short term approaches to help remediate the problem are under consideration. One of them may be ready some time next week. (It isn’t being done by Leago so it won’t impact MUIR progress.)
