We’re hoping to get it so MUIR always finds new/updated memberships during a re-validate, but so far that’s not working.
The work-around is to bring up your event, bring up each of the missing/lapsed players, bring up the player edit box, delete the member ID from that box, then re-enter it and hit the return key.
Clumsy but usually effective. We’ve run into a few that wouldn’t work, at least one of them turned out to be a problem with that player’s membership record that Korey was able to correct, so let us know if this work-around doesn’t do the job.
Last night Emanuel and I found a major source of failures to transfer members from the membership system to MUIR.
The membership transfer fails if either the gender field is null or the birthdate is null.
We think we’ve got the gender issue addressed by creating a ‘not available’ code so at least it isn’t null, but the birthdates are going to be a bigger issue as there currently 630 member records that are active and current but don’t have a birthdate.
It appears these are mostly coming from the batch membership system that TDs use, which is not requiring a birthdate. Requiring a birthdate may cause a flurry of records with incorrect birthdates, which creates other issues, since confirming your birthdate is one of the checks for registering for the member dashboard. Inserting an obviously false birthdate like 1/1/1900 creates several problems, too.
This is probably also impacting getting non-member records (ID but no membership yet) on MUIR.
